Featuring: John Ellis & Friends
A message from John Ellis:
Dear Friends,
Well here we are at the end of October and still no sign of when it will be safe to have a large crowd together for something like a concert. Thanks to all of you, The Chosen show is that very thing, a large crowd. I can’t get over how fast it sold out. I am both shocked and humbled but mostly grateful to all of you who bought tickets. I can assume you are also the same people I see on a regular basis at Long & McQuade. You all know who you are. Can’t tell you what it’s meant to me over the years to have known you all but I can tell you it’s made going to work every day a whole lot more fun.
By now I think we all know the new date of November 7th is not going to happen. Market Hall’s general manager, Chad Hogan, and The Chosen’s musical director, Ryan Browne, feel it would be in your best interest to cancel this show and start over again when the world gets back to normal. The Chosen Show will go on. It will happen. We just have to wait until it’s safe.
If you bought tickets from Market Hall you will be refunded
on October 28th and those who bought from Long & McQuade can get your refund there. I would like to say my original intent for doing this show was a fundraiser in support of the Market Hall, so anyone who is able and willing, please consider donating your ticket value to the hall as it would be greatly appreciated and needed. You will also get a tax receipt for your donation.
I’ve known the hall’s general manager Chad Hogan since he was a little kid coming into Bud’s Music Centre and I’ve had the pleasure of watching him grow to be this funny, intelligent, articulate and honest man that I feel honoured to call my friend. Chad has put his heart and soul into the hall and so we want to help to keep Market Hall going. Market Hall needs help to ensure live music lives on in Peterborough.
