Your Family Health Team Foundation presents

Your Family Health Team Foundation presents

Thursday, March 1st 2018 - 6:30 PM
8th Annual Peterborough SPEAKS

GPHSF, Your Family Health Team Foundation's signature event, Peterborough SPEAKS, will be returning for it’s 8th year at Market Hall on Thursday, March 1, 2018. The event focuses on the vast personalities that call Peterborough home and this year’s speakers include Paul Crough, Cody Crowley, Helen Scott, Sue Sorrenti, Andressa Lacerda and Adam Noble, with the event hosted by Megan Murphy & Stu Harrison. Early bird tickets are $35 until February 2018 or while supplies last. All proceeds raised will support patients in the community who rely on expert, compassionate care delivered by the Family Health Teams by raising funds for specialized programs, research, capital equipment, training and continuing medical education for health care providers.

“Peterborough has such a wonderful depth of talented individuals to draw from and we are so excited to have six dynamic speakers joining us for Peterborough SPEAKS,” said Laura Kennedy, Executive Director, GPHSF, Your Family Health Team Foundation. “Andressa Lacerda and Adam Noble have such a fascinating story to share on how they founded Noblegen and have executed some groundbreaking research right here in Peterborough.  Sue Sorrenti has quite the story to share from her time during the SARS outbreak, having worked as an RN at the time and actually diagnosed herself with the virus and admitting herself into quarantine.  Of course anyone that loves musical theatre knows St. Peter’s teacher Paul Crough, teacher, actor, director, writer, singer, and operates Homestead Theatre in Ennismore.  Helen Scott is the Executive Director of the Canadian Partnership for Women and Children’s Health and under her leadership CanWaCH has catalyzed collaboration among 100+ members working to improve women and children’s health worldwide. Rounding out our speakers is Peterborough’s own hometown champion, boxer Cody Crowley.  It's going to be another provocative and engaging evening with hosts Megan Murphy and Stu Harrison at Market Hall this coming March supporting the Peterborough Family Health Team.”
